No spare ways in the consumer unit. There are two low current radials on their own RCBOs. Do the regs forbid putting the two radials onto the same RCBO - that is two L wires into the one RCBO?
Got an odd one.
Supply is TPN TN-CS and all looks reasonably tidy but the circuit schedules bear little resemblance to the DB contents.
I have a piece of fixed equipment that is generating intermittent faults and tripping the C16 RCBO. The circuit tests fine at 999MOhms at 500V on IR. So it's...
I have come across a couple of Eaton RCBOs in Memera 2000AD boards and they don’t trip at the board when tested but do at the point of use/load, what’s up with that then?
Cheers
Hi Folks
RCBO or C/U change that is the question!
On the 18th edition the lecturer in a conversation said if the C/U is not non combustible you cant make alterations i.e fit RCBOs for circuits; this ring true with anyone else?
Loads 16 and 17th edition boards nothing wrong with enclosure but...
The board in the picture below has 2 x RCBO's in it, they look like matches so I'm guessing schneider is the new merlin gerlin and that these RCBO's are a perfect fit?
However, Schneider seem to do other RCBO's. Easy9, acti9 and others. The Acti9 looks like it may fit this board but it is more...
Just changed a 32amp rcbo on a cooker circuit. Obviously done the checks.
The oven light is coming on. But it's not switching on to cook.
Was the starbreaker type. You think it's something to do with the rcbo.
Thanks.
Would you deem a socket (twin or commando) to be exempt from requiring RCD protection if it is fitted above a suspended ceiling installed to supply a specific piece of equipment?
Initially I'm thinking yes. Wouldn't think anyone is going to go out of their way to access them if there are other...
Simple job, swap an MCB to an RCBO on a lighting circuit. It's got me totally stumped!
IR test L+N -> E is fine on the circuit. So is Zs. All 2-way switches operated.
Instant trip when changed to RCBO though, and tried two RCBO's
Ramp tested them both, all good. All tests pass on them with no...
Hi all in a rcbo t Should the white pe cable. he sleeves in green/yellow earth sledging on a domestic consumer unit thanks for your help and stay safe Pete
On a recent EICR i have ring final circuits (sockets) on type C 32 amp rcbo
Some of my ZS reading exceed maximum ZS (0.55 OSG) ie:0.65 ohms .
On a earth fault this will disconnect via the MCB part of the RCBO.
How can i ensure a LINE to Neutral fault will still disconnect?
HI guys,
I have an odd problem. I haven RCBO that did trip, I have found the reason and corrected it. However, when turning the RCBO it stays on, it has power yet it does not seem to provide power to my light. this is for a lighting circuit only, so there are no power points to remove things...
Hello guys, completely forgot to remove the board cover to check what type of rcbo was required for this particular Crabtree board. Anyone from experience know which type RCBO fits?
thanks in advance!!
I'm currently planning for a CU upgrade on the domestic premises, and following previous advice on this forum, I was told that I should consider upgrading to a Type A RCBO CU.
I have been doing a bit of reading and came across some confusing information, stating that an RCD would not work on a...
Morning all,
Does anyone know if there is a replacement part for this discontinued one?
I’ve seen some second hand ones floating about on eBay, but if I can’t find a brand new alternative then I’ll have to change the whole board.
I’ve sent Schneider an email almost a week ago and still haven’t...
I've just installed a new kitchen consumer unit with RCBOs. The client says the oven RCBO is now tripping when it cools down. Any ideas what could be causing this?
a fuse carrier is broken in 6way mem board with no rcd protection , it makes sense to upgrade to rcbos like other boards in the installation..
My question is , I'm nearly certain there is borrowed neutral on the lighting circuits and he won't want a wire fitted from kitchen to landing to...
