Kitchen recessed downlights
Hi, I just want to get a little advise from you guys - I am an amateur but have wired in lights etc around the farm but they have all had earths etc I am about to installed 6 recessed downlights in my kitchen (not in the ceiling but in the pelmet) the down lights are class II double insulated...- burnside43

Hi Chaps.... This one is for anyone that prices by point. Just want see how I compare and what others are charging per down light. I charge £38/per standard GU10 fitting any finish non IP - regardless of how many. Many Thanks, Sy -
GU10 lamp removal from recessed downlights
Recessed downlights generally (as far as I am aware) come with a suction cup for GU10 lamp insertion/removal. Does anyone know where you can get these suction cups, or a better tool for lamp insertion/removal? Am asking because customer has mislaid his suction cup and lamps are VERY tight in the... -

Got a customer, Who's house and business premises we have the maintenance contract with, Just moved into a new house, with a large number of recessed halogen downlighters. Recessed paving lights.
Have 15 of these to do in a patio external obviously. It's actually brick paving. I need to core a hole approx 100mm per light. My problem is I just don't know what the best way to terminate would be. Of course I'll need some sort of ip rated jb for each light but where should this go? Down...- hoover

Recessed wall/floor level lights..internally set in a block wall, any ideas please ?
Customer would like something similar to this.... JCC Lighting: celest But quite pricey..... anyone fit this sort of thing maybe give us a couple of alternatives. They're going internally recessed in block wall 100mm thick, just to give an effect more than a light of any use.... some sort... -

recessed floor socket installed in walls ?
ok so i have two separate jobs to do soon, both of which involve socket outlets to go behind new LCD TVs, the really thin ones..! Both clients want the sockets behind the TVs but want to use the really close fitting wall mounts, which wont have enough room for the plug top. So im thinking...- GT1

looking at some lights for a garden patio area, they come with a built in transformer and only have 140mm of cable attached. So when wiring swa, what would you use to connect a few up? If this is all done under the patio then the junction boxes will not be accessable?- adam.h
