Hi, I remember at college I was told that if you see old resettable cartridge fuses (the ones where a button pops out) to replace them - but I can't remember the reasons why??? I just said that they no longer comply to my customer but what actually is the reason? I hate not knowing and talking...

I was just testing our RCD here at home. I pressed the test button and the switch tripped. I can't reset it now however. Seems like there's 3 positions for this switch. Up, middle and down if that makes sense. Any ideas how to reset it.
I saw this interesting device in a gewiss catalogue.Called restart.Its an rcd which resets itself after testing that there is no insulation damage to the cables.It also performs a weekly trip test on the device,without dropping power to the installation.No idea on the price.
