I’ve been comparing various makes and models of PV panels for an 8kW project.
Sales people keep on and on at me about this or that panel being ‘more efficient’ than some other, so is obviously worth the extra cost.
My understanding is that the efficiency of a panel is the rate at which it...
Been looking at Sunpower today, 20% efficiency and no visible surface electrodes, all back contacts and a proper all black panel, anyone seen them in action? They look awesome...
I have been looking at both sanyho Hit N240's and Schott 235's on pv_sol. It seems there is not a lot of difference in the annual KWh produced by the sanyo where as it could cost my customer up to £2k. How do people justify spending the extra on the sanyo when it wont payback the difference?

I am trying to get written confirmation from Sanyo that if their panels are clipped on the short side, the warranty is void.
I have twice sent emails to Sanyo without any response.
Can anyone please help me to get the answer?

I read somewhere that when mounting in a landscape format, most panel manufacturers do not recommend that their panels are clamped on the short side.
Is this case with the Sanyo N240 model and if so do Sanyo recommend using vertical rails?

Hi there, first post!
Looking at a Kostal Piko 3.6 for a 14 or 16 Sanyo module install. The dual MPP would be useful, though not essential. However their software flags up a low Vmpp - with 2x7 strings the voltage is 269v at 65 deg/306v under STC. The minimum MPP voltage is 340v in two tracker...
Sorry to advertise on the site but one of our customers has cancelled and we need to offload 14 x H250 Sanyo panels. These were delivered to us from our wholesaler last week and are still in their original packaging and on the original pallet. I'm not looking to make a margin on these so will be...
I personally wouldn't recommend Wagner to my worst enemy but these are trying times!
I have just turned away a delivery of Sanyo 250's from Wagner which I ordered several weeks ago, they failed to deliver and I cancelled the order several weeks ago. They turned up out fo the blue half an...
Hi there - I'm a complete novice and hope very much that you might be able to help me? After an intense search, I have found 16x 250w HIT Sanyo panels due to be installed at the end of November to meet the FIT deadline. I have been offered a choice of 2 inverters: SMA 3300 or a 3801TL...
Trying to do an install of 15 sanyo 235's, 3 rows of 5.
Originally had them split on a multi tracking inverter but cannot get hold of one.
Customer wants the 15 but if I split them 8 & 7 on a standard inverter there would be a performance effect.
Any suggestions on the way to go, fit inverter...
