ALDI are currently selling a set of three 1m SDS drill bits, 12mm 16mm and 24mm for £10. Not something I would expect to use much and not something I would expect to be great quality, but for that price I think worth having in stock.

I've just killed my second makita 2kg sds drill in two years. I'm not using it as a breaker, just chopping in boxes and light chasing (I have a chaser), you know, just the usual abuse a drill would get on site. I'm starting to think that a 2 kg sds isn't man enough.
What does everyone else...
Looking for my first SDS for chasing out etc and looking for some advice. Definitely going corded route, domestic stuff with capability for handling brick, concrete and stone. First query is how much difference does the kg make? ie some say 2kg, 3kg 4kg and even 5kg. I am guessing each is a step...

Thanks
Paul

As some will know just starting out and building up tool collection. Looking at SDS for chopping out , domestic.
Decided on corded for now based on prices. I have noticed there are different kg ratings. While I realise higher value will make job easier, would a 2kg for example do an adequate...
Ok so I need to buy a new SDS Hammer drill this weekend ready for work Monday. I'd really like to be able to spend big as this tool probably see's more action than any of my other power tools, however got mouths to feed and money is tight so my budget is about £150
I was wondering if anyone has...
Hi, I am an apprentice looking to buy my first cordless SDS. Does anybody use the Dewalt 18v XR Li-ion SDS and what do they think, or what do you reccomend have a max of around £350?

Hello Guys,
Just wondering what SDS chisel or channel bits, you use when cutting out your back boxes and channelling? I have a 70mm one, but its brutal, and I was wondering if you guys use a channel bit. Do you stick with brand names or just any old chisel bit from the web?
Cheers
Tom
My 36v Bosch has finally packed in, after many good years together. Just wondering what people think is the best make? Or shall I stick with Bosch?

Hi chaps,
a while back I picked up a DeWalt SDS.
It's a great bit of kit and even with cheap drill bits, it's not failed to get through anything I've tried it on.
I have noticed that it's been emitting grease from the air vents though... Oil from the chuck is understandable on an SDS, but...
As above, makit 12v sds cordless drill, this has 3 functions, drill, sds drill and chisel
I've had this from new and one of the Batts failed ( doesn't hold charge ) from near new, maybe can be fixed...

Drill works...
Hi guys,

It looks shockingly week to me! 5.5 in concrete is a massive strugle. Or is my drill factory faulty?
Has anyone got one of these beauties? Ive had it repaired once and bosch fixed the drill and gave me 2 new batteries!
The problem i have now is that the batteries wont charge, the charger goes through the motions i.e all the lights tell me its charging, and the batteries "charge" in minutes ...
