    Stripping the outer black sheath off cable - is there an ideal tool for this anywhere

    SWA inner sheath unstrippable!

    Bit of a rant - Had to gland off 7 x 25mm 4 core SWAs today - all of which required about 4m of the cores exposed. Turned out to be the worst stuff i've ever worked with - the white inner insulation would just not rip off - tried absolutely everything - in the end had to meticulously pick gently...

    SWA sheath used as main Earth

    Hi guys I recently installed a submain and fed it with 16mm 2 core SWA XLPE and used the sheath as an earth.... does anyone know the calculation to work out the equivalent conductor size ? i know it works out to be approx 35mm. Hope that question makes sense. Darren
