Hi
Can you use rotary isolators to switch resistive loads on and off on a regular basis (talking 18KW load here)
I personally thought not, that it should be controlled through a contactor but I have seen another installation that is using isolators
thx

Guys, it's a question that raises its head every now and then and the web references only ever seem to direct towards much plagiarised versions of the same paper that explains a little (but nothing) about relying upon the earth connection on the other side of the switching device. Can anyone...

Just a quick question.

Hi all,
Have a question for you all...Does anyone know of an occupancy switch that uses a solid state relay? Cant be the standard, electronic ones (ie the ones that you hear a click on switching), as the pulse from these is reducing the longevity of the cfl ballast's installed.
Cheers,
ffm

Is there is any reason why 2 way switching wouldn't work for a PIR floodlight taking into account the PIR setting and the manual override mode??Obviously it would be wired correctly!
Just yes or no. No abuse please!
