    Earthing braid of SY cable

    If someone has not earthed the braid of an SY cable what reg can I quote as being infringed. My thinking is that the braid (like SWA) is an exposed conductive part and needs earthing. Is it 411.3.1.1?

    Any thoughts on SY cable glands for earthing the screen. On a job where a contractor has used stuffing glands at both ends. Cable feed from a 3 phase DB, cable is ran on top of a wall 8 ft up from floor level, then on to try to a 240v switch socket cable is 3 core 4mm
