When do you actually do the paperwork?

Hi Just a question here regarding testing and certification. If you got called to a house to replace a socket that had its casing cracked or you put a lovely new B&Q chandelier up for someone would you then do a minor works Cert + Si + STR? Seems a little overkill to me If you don't what's...

    Assessment on Friday.

I've opted for the ever popular CU change at home for my assessment Friday. So I started with a Wylex rat's nest, changed it for a nice Hager which should do the job. Then blood sweat and tears getting the gas bonding through, during which I discovered some 'alternative' junction boxes under the...

If you were to go to an installation

If you were to go to an installation and think "I don't like the look of this old board, but I'll use a separate board via Henley Blocks' or similar, would you be OK just noting on the paperwork that the original installation is a bit ****e? I mean, you wouldn't then become responsible for that...

    That's it!

Last install completed, paperwork finished and sent to customers, invoices paid - that's it for this year. I'm going to repond to both consultations and try and work out what will be best to supplement solar with. In January I'll review the prices and start looking for work again but no...

Peak Short Circuit Current value on the SSEG form.

I've looked at the easy MCS guide on here, and it's not clear, (in my eye's) to what value you place in the part where it asks for this. I've done a pscc test at the AC isolator with my fluke, and it's giving me a reading of 600A. Is this what they want? There's no mention of it on the SMA...
