    rcd x5 testing trouble

    i have been testing an rcd with my calibrated tester but when i test the rcd on x5 my meter shows an error message stating that the fault voltage is greater than 50v. I thought it might be my meter so tryed another and it worked fine. I am now wondering if his meter is faulty.Any ideas?
