Out of all us full-time S.E. sparks, I just wondered if I'm alone in not being able to find some decent short-term labour? Having done the usual asks with the wholesalers, an ad on here, an ad via the Job Centre and after two weeks not a single enquiry. So the economy is clearly that good...

Just had a four hour mcs audit for my renewal, all went well, except for a couple of non conforms, and a strong word of advice, anyone not doing wind cals and structural calcs are going to be in trouble, and they can make you go over all your installs and carry out calculations. I was ok on...
When it comes to 3 cables in one terminal, for example the earth wire, I find it really hard. I'm at college at the moment, with my practical exam, I have gone overtime because of this. I have two cables in then I put the last one in, then screw it in but there is usually one that falls out...
Any help would be appreciated.

Just stated out and having installed a few CU's with success i went to a flat today and couldn't find the main fuse. Hoping to find it with the meter it wasn't there. This was next to the old fuse box under a panel. Any ideas??? No doubt you will but many of the old installs baffle me!
Thanks

Hi guys,
Havnig a small drama here at work trying to re-wire a contactor for a three phase motor. The chap that installed the contactor was firstly NOT an electrician, he was in fact a metal worker....and the job he did certainly worked, but was a little unusual to say the least...

Anyway, I have tried to do a Ze test and I can't get a reading. I am sure I am following the same procedure...
