    high voltage transmission voltages?

Hi, I'm currently working on a project that inlvolves high voltage transmission cables. Does any one know what the AC voltages are whilst passing through the transmission stage? any help on this would be great. thank you. :)

    Supply voltages around the UK

Hi All, Our company is dealing with a very large korean appliance manufacturer (let's just call them GL for arguments sake !), as we are going to be selling some of their large commercial washing machines and dryers. They are confused with the voltage in this country. We have explained that...

    Understanding installation voltages, particularly Vne

Believe that I am (mostly) up to speed with electricity as applied to appliances (n.b. just realised as I wrote this, that is where the word appliances comes from, never occurred to me before!), so I am now trying to understand installation voltages. My aim is to learn/train eventually to become...

    rcd touch voltages

    hi could you give me some advice regarding calculations for RCD touch voltages 30mA RCD RA X I^n = < 50v 166 x 0.3 = <50v 100mA RCD RA x I^n = <50000v 500 X 100 = <50000v 300mA RCD RA X I^n = < 50100v 167 x 300 = <50100v 500 mA RCD RA X I^n = <50000v 100 x 500 <50000v any help on this...

    3 phase voltages

hi when you measure between phase and phase you get 415 volts and between pase and neutral you get 240 why is it 240 and not say half of 415 .

    Mixed voltages in cables

Here's one chaps, I was talking to a bloke the other day who claimed it was ok to have 415v AC and 24v DC running through the same cable (2.5,7 core) at the same time. This was for a 3ph motor, with the 24v being for an early break control through a 4th pole in the isolator, and back to the...
