Have been asked to connect a phone extension where cable with 3 twisted pairs has already been pulled in.
First of all I thought phone line only had four wires? A phone jack only has 4 connections AFAIK anyway.
The main question though is whether fitting a slave socket at each end with a jack...
I am installing some metal clad surface mounted sockets in a garage for the first time.
Do I need to earth the box to the earth terminal with a separate cable and also would i use the same CPC size as the circuit cable.
