Hi there,
I have just fitted a Sunny Boy 1700 with a Sunny Beam to monitor it however whenever I do a system search it comes up with "The System Search Failed" This seems to be before it has even finished doing a search! Any body else had this problem and if so how did you resolve it? :frown2:

Not getting too much of an issue on the few domestics we do but the commercial ones are nearly always at 245 -252v which kind of makes it a bit close for voltage rise on export.
Any dropoff in local demand and in general we will be looking at the G59 booting us off the network!

Can any one help me, does the cable fitted above the surface of a domestic garage wall need to be protected by conduit or will being clipped to the walls suffice? Cable will be RCD protected. Assessment evidence so it has to be correct. Thank you.

I recently fitted a new (fixed) ceiling light fitting in my bathroom. I live in an old property with very high ceilings.

Went to look at wiring up a new shower last night but the customers old shower had the connections at the bottom and the new one has them near the top.
Consequently, the previous DIYer or (ahem) Tradesman, has cut them tighter than a Gnat's Chuff.
Is it O.K to just join out in the shower unit...
