I recently moved houses and the previous owner had a sunny boy sb-2000hf-30 inverter installed. The first green light is on but when I tap on the screen nothing happens.
On the manual it says that tapping/knocking on the screen should turn it on.
Anyone knows how this inverter works?
So i have 2 wires coming into a gang box. 1 is hot, the other is not powered because it is feeding the next device. Im trying to connect a gfci. I put the hot line in the outlet and it never powered on. What could the problem be?
Hi all,
As an electrically illiterate person I've found a lot of the posts on this forum helpful when fixing things round the house. I was hoping I might get some guidance on any next steps before calling someone in about our immersion heater.
Context: we recently switched to a smartmeter for...
HI Guys,
I bought this motor and speed controller used and tried wiring as per the diagram on the side of the speed control unit but the motor will not turn on. I am running it at 220v, when plugged in I do see the green led light up. There is not much info on the internet. But I was able to...

Hey, newbie here.
I'm very experienced DIY, but just got into 3 phase motors this year. I bought several 3p motors at auction ranging from 0.5 to 5hp. Bought and configured a VFD to be able to test them, but mainly to run my lathe.
The VFD works fine on most of the motors. I've run across 2...

Hi,
This is a DIY question (I am not electrical expert). I have an issue replacing a fan to a house I have just moved into. It didn't work when I moved in and looked old so purchased a new one. I have wired it up correctly (I think). I also have a live probe that beeps if wires are live. It...
When working on circuits do you isolate whole board or just the final circuits using MCBs ? Or is there any instances when the whole board has to be isolated even if you are working on few final circuits?
Thanks.

Hi there my Skoda fabia MK1 2005 hasn't had working electronic windows for months, I've replaced the drivers motor, checked wiring between a frame and door, replaced window switch, windows work if I unlock the car with the key in the door (for about 10-20mins then stop) but do not work if I...
My bathroom light went last week. I believe it's a "2D" bulb - the full model number on the bulb is F28W2D/835.
The bulb had gone black at one end, which I'm guessing is what happens when one of these blows?
I've bought 4 different replacements this week, but none of them are working.
One...
