How do you fault find on a zone valve to see if its working.
What are the dead test that can be done on them to prove the micro sw is working. Also just any test really
Not out time long so i think this is a useful thing to know when working on heating systems

I have wired an S plan plus system. 1 zone for DHW, 1 zone for CH and 1 zone for UFH (underfloor heating).
3 channel programmer, 3 motorised valves, cylinder stat, room stat for UFH, no stat for CH & 2 pumps.

a periodic report reports that a water heater is not allowed in zone one. the 2.5 supply cable is clipped direct going into the bottom of the heaters. the heaters store more than 15 litres. regs wise whats the deal. how do i make them comply without moving them. rcd yes but what else? thanks
