stick with what IQ is saying. Verify the integrity of the earthing in the containment with the R2 lead, and record it in the R2 column. As for the r2 column, just put down the reading obtained. Even if it is 0.00 ohm. Remember that 0.00 ohms on a tester is not NIL.

You mentioned that there are two earths at each point.
Are the two earths to two terminals, or both to one terminal?
Is this circuit a high integrity earth circuit, perhaps for equipment with high earth leakage in normal operation?
