Happy to understand if I'm am wrong, but I think they have asked you to install something that by its design may not meet BS7671 ?

Are you only completing the schedule of Test results.
Yes.

I suspect if I dug into the matter we would find it is bonded. That is the steel of the hull of the shipping containers. There are about forty of them arranged in units selling food and jewellery etc.

Hi V - I'm happy if you're happy :)
Who will be filling out Main Protective Conductors section of EIC do you reckon?

the next part (p415 BYB)
Hi Wilko just got back, I am a slow (but sure) worker. Yeh that is a very good point. My mind is casting about thinking how I will fill in that part. At the moment the only service in there is electrics. No gas no water, yet but there will be soon. I have seen the bonding of the units and gas pipes as well as water today. But still a bit of a conundrum for now and when other services are supplied. I will have to lie down and have a drink sorry think about that. Any bright ideas to help me along would not be churlishly dealt with...

A lie down, now there's a top idea !

My thought is to find out who is responsible for the site design or company QS and discuss it - "the installation is in a metal building so why am I not bonding the building metalwork to the new board ?" Perhaps take BYB and ask them to show you the reg they rely on.

Mind you, I have no friends ...
