I am wanting to put another led light from a switch that is already being used, is it ok to drill through the side of the metal back box and wire in the blue and brown wires.
 
It depends how the switch is wired.

If theres a neutral at the switch, then its possible....

If its only a live and switched live, (which could be a brown and blue) then, no you cant. You need a neutral
