No requirement to use scheme specific software, I'm guessing they would prefer it but you can use what you want.

Never considered that murdoch good call!Software that acts with a database so it auto fills address, circuit info etc and very importantly quotes the regs numbers for issues when doing EICR's
And no I don't use my CPS's software - so when I change CPS, then I can still access my certificates

Totally on the Ball Murdoch.You don't but so many EICR's get done with no reference to the regs and if you read the threads on here its descending into a complete farce.
A C1, C2 or C3 needs to be backed up with regs and details IMHO
Don’t think there’s any requirement for it but if I make any comments in the condition of existing installation then it’s always nice to back them up
