Has anyone got a spare set of 20mm & 25mm stocks and dies for sale?
They provide a perfectly rigid system, maybe you were not fitting it correctly [emoji6]Can't stand them Conlok boxes. They do not provide a rigid conduit system. Rubbish!
nah he just has a higher standard of rigid. They provide a perfectly rigid system, maybe you were not fitting it correctly [emoji6]
can any one remember the ratchet type tool for threading conduit? Do they still exist?
If you want the best then go for a set by G&J Hall.
thanks Tony.I’ve got both imperial and metric tap and die sets.
Promised to Glennsparks.
I’m never going to use them again. Glenn has been doing work on some older buildings so I hope the imperial stuff helps him out.
well i`m not being funny but i dont think i would like to rely on that containment system as a reliable fault path...I used this stuff on a job recently, so much quicker, all slots in, no threading, or locking. Reduced my install time by 50%

im guessing its the same as the american conduit.I keep seeing them around and they bug me. Back in the 20's and 30's it was accepted that pin-grip and lug-grip conduit fittings were weak and only threaded joints were suitable for high class work. 40 years later, they were extinct. Another 40 years later and they're back - I hope they are better. Not had an opportunity to use any yet so I won't judge them.

threading conduit doesnt take that long and its a better install, i wouldnt trust the thread on that tiny grub screw to hold conduit (usually they have greese etc on them)
they wont be sealed at all either unlike proper conduit, if you want quick plastic conduit is the only way

Just hopefully clear thing up regarding Conlok. Conlok Is a relatively new product to the industry, and is in no way linked to the outdated "Push Fit" system that used t be available.
Conlok fully complies with BS EN 61386, in all aspects including earthing.
Conlok is widely used in Large Electrical contracts, by the largest contractors in the UK. It has been used in the new Heathrow Terminal 2, in it's entirety and many many more of the UK's largest construction sites.
If you have ever seen used Conlok, can I request that you contact Demon Cato, and we will gladly send you some samples, rather than commenting in the negative about a product you have no personal experience of using !!!
HappyDundee has quite obviously used the product, and many thanks for his kind input !!![]()
