Does anyone know the City & Guilds pass mark for the above.
I have just failed with a mark 80% and it seems I was over 10% off, that would mean I have to get over 90%.
I seems a bit high to me.....

Dunk.................

Its official. The 80% result from my exam is a PASS. C&G have comfirmed it and say it was a computer error.
I now know the regs inside out as Ive been revising like mad over the last 2 weeks thinking I needed over 90% to pass.

I got a PASS today and only got 76%, i was told there was a problem with Gola software which had to be reinstalled a few weeks ago.

Could someone clarify iv got a 2382-100, wots the difference between this and a 2382-200?

The 2382-100 is the full exam 60 questions, the 2382-200 is the upgrade course 30 questions... So depending on when you sat the 16th determined whether you needed to do the full exam or just the upgrade. They both give you the same qualification.

How did you all get your % mark?, all i got was told i had passed verbally by the college when i rang up to ask. Then just received the cert in the post a week later with no % value.

Steve4 cheers, we were given a printout of our scores, by each section, as soon as we finished the exam, it showed how many u correctly answered in each section frm how many were asked frm each section. It must depend on where u did the test.

Also u dont have to get over 80% in all the 8 sections of the exam, this only applies to S4 Protection for Safety, i got 2/3 in Appendices 66.6% and 4/6 in Inspect & Test 66.6%

i believe colleges have to give you a set amount of time between taking an exam and the resit.

if you take the exam and fail then take the resit straight after it and fail again then the college would get in trouble because they havent given the student an adequate amount of time to prepare for the resit.

the pass mark for the exam is so high because its open book. Youve got all the answers in the book, the only trick is finding them

Would anyone be kind enough to confirm the number of questions and pass mark for the 2382-20? I have the 2330 so luckily I can do the update.

I believe it is 30 questions over an hour, and 80%.

Thank you!

I believe it's at least a week, the College has to give a weeks notice to the C&G.
When I did mine, we all turned up on the Monday, but no-one at the College knew about us.
Anyay, we got it all sorted, did the course, then got told we had to come back the following Friday, as no-one had notified C&G at the begining of the week, as they were't expecting us.

I've heard this mentioned a few times and today before the exam our tutor also said that as we have been taught to 17th Edition standards with the 2330 we'd be doing the update exam.

I always thought the update for people who'd done the 16th only?

Anyway ended up doing the full exam and passed with about 90% (didn't seem to be pass/credit/distinction) is it a straight pass/fail exam
