Maybe it would be a good idea to have a subforum specific to the 2391 or for the 2391 study group. There seems to be loads of questions about the 2391 and also it would make it easier for people to find all these useful posts in the future.

Yes, good idea, it's a worthy addition as so many stress on the theory exam.

I've got a question Can the 2391 be passed by anyone who hasnt had hands on Testing Experience except in College. ??? As im getting the 2392 and 2391 for free from a european Funding scheme called Response 2 redundancy .

Dont get me wrong I know it only has a 40% Pass rate in the Whole country so im under no illusions but if it's not costing me anything then I might as well have a good crack at it.

Yes it definitely can , but it will be much easier if you can get your own tester and get really familiar with testing on your own property and anybody else's who will let you lose on it. You can use your own tester in the exam and being familiar with it will help calm a few nerves that you might otherwise get from using unfamiliar equipment.

Cheers Pushrod Ive been watching Kitchers and others test vids on Youtube on a regular Basis (once a week) so I am feeling fairly confident of knowing test procedures plus I get some testing practice every other week at college for the 302/303 units of the 22330 plus like I said earlier I'll be doing the 2392 first which will no doubt help.

When you are in college i would ask a lecturer or workshop assistant if you can have a quick look at a 3 phase board just to get use to the 1L1, 1L2, 1L3, 2L1, 2L2, 3L3 etc etc layout. A lot of them get so cheesed off with teenagers who are messing about during their daytime courses that they are only too pleased to help someone who is showing genuine interest. Good luck.

ah yer Chris Kitcher tests on a Distribution Board in his Videos But theres also a 3 phase room in the College workshop so i'll ask him to show us it next time .

Hi john good luck
at least you are showing your interested and want to learn just ask your tutor as pushrod says tell him why you want to learn and understand the differences just keep reading gn3 and kitchers guide you be ok mate

EBAY can sometimes be useful i managed to get mine new from there really cheaply but its only the PDF versions that are cheap at the moment. If you keep your eyes open you do sometimes see almost perfect 2nd hand copies.

Edit : just checked with the book depository HERE and they are offering it at £20.08 inc P&P seems a very good price and they are also offering me 10% off for friends . If anybody wants to PM me their email address i can include it on the voucher i have, and they say they will send you a 10% off voucher for any order.

Thanks for link and to help out john. Good price, I paid the full £25 for gn3 last month plus another £65 on books this week. Need to start answering the questions now on the courses forum.

The coding part is all down to experience and knowing whether something is right or wrong. Remember some pics have no faults.
