Firstly dont panic.
Secondly it IS NOT AN ENGLISH exam, you wont loose marks for spelling and grammar, but you WILL loose marks for not using the correct electrical terminology.
Thirdly remember that this exam is not rocket science or brain surgery, it is purely facts and procedures, with the odd bit of basic electrical maths thrown in, which you should know anyway.
Have a very good read of GN3 and in particular the bit about Initial Verification.
Make sure you can remember the correct test sequence:
Continuity.
Ring Continuity.
Insulation Resistance
Polarity
Earth Loop impedance
RCD test
They list is longer, but you only need to to know those.
Polarity at initial Verification is and must always be a dead test, done by the R1 +R2 method.
This obviously doesnt apply to supply polarity which can only be done live.
As it is initial verification, you do not need to consider asking permission to isolate, it should not be energised until you have inspected and tested it.
Other than all that get your head round the facts, such as insulation resistance values.
IR test voltages.
The reason for initial verification. Etc Etc, it is all in GN3, but make sure you are familiar with GS38 and in particular test leads and probes.
Make sure you can draw the earth loop path for TT, TNCS and TNS and know the maximum Ze values for them.
Cheers.............Howard
