Haha ok look at it this way, how many good carpenters would leave slotted door hinge screws anything other than vertical ? :D [Yes I know it's all Pozi these days]. :p

left screw @ 20 t0 2. right screw @ 10 to 4. then water will run to the sides of the socket and not straight down.
 
Seems to be a lot of talk of water on this fictitious install of ours - are we IP rating our made up accessories I wonder?

Yeh, I don't like them - no clean crisp lines on them like a 3.5 - I won't use them, end of !
what ab out some of these new fangled 3.5's.they're small pozi. do we do NSEW or diagonal?
