I only ever two plate. I've only ever been taught too two plate so naturally I think it is superior. When coming too change a light you only have one cable, you can isolate a light at the switch when changing and its easier too work with. Its much more comfortable working at chest height rather than above head height

I think isolating by means of switch does not satisfy safe isolation so I wouldn't go doing it on a inspection. Could be wrong tho

swings and roundabouts really. many a time I have been glad of finding a neutral at the switch, theres always a wrong way when it doesn't suit you in a particular instance
