I have a client who needs his hallway light to come on automatically from the front door and basement areas but switch manually from his hallway. It is currently 3-way switching with no neutrals at the swtches. His existing hallway switch is the intermediate switch. Can anybody help me with solutions to this little 3-way conundrum?

Quite simply 2 way lighting is usually wired in 3 core + E , so the is a very good chance of a spare conduct....oh great we can used this as our neutral.....secondly the OP ask for 2 pirs and a switch....did he mention Pneumatic switches...no.....moral of story........

Furthermore, as the left hand switch will currently not do anything, I'd try the loose brown in here:
