If you were wiring 8 gangs of 2 way light switches. Would you wire 8 independent circuits, so 8 no. 3 core between switches. Or would you run a live, and loop all the L1's together, then just run 8 no. 2 core between switches ?

That looks good, I spoke with Hager to see if they did custom labels, but unfortunately not. They recommended some key cutters do engraving. I'm gonna try that. Where did you get your engraver, how much did it cost, can you do switches instead ?I engrave stuff a lot, this is in my hallway. To make this more discreet I could have filled it with white wax, the white wax colour is different enough that you can read it up close but from across the room it looks unmarked.

My advice is just buy a single one instead of a box as it maybe confusing.Might be best to stick with something better suited to my abilities.
That’s banging, I’ve just seen Timpsons do engraving. I’m gonna see what they can do.I had a go at engraving an MK Grid+ switch rocker:

Traffolyte.Seen plenty mistakes when other apprentices tried engraving… Tumble dryer/drier or just having “FF” for fridge freezer.
The engraved letters on white plastic was rubbed over with coloured wax…. (A professional crayon) and the coloured bit stayed inside the cut away part.
We also made plastic signs that were made up of plates of laminated coloured plastic. So the engraved part would cut through the top layer revealing whatever the second layer colour was.
The most common mistake with manual engraving is forgetting to lift the stylus when moving to the next letter!Seen plenty mistakes when other apprentices tried engraving…
