In the US the situation is different.

The US and Canada DO need covers for socket outlets as safety shutters are not fitted as standard..

Thanks hsharp, the more people banging the drum the better. The biggest problem is ignorance of the facts. I’ve be ranting about them for 27 years now (OK only my own at first until I found out about Fatally Flawed).

Unfortunately yes. They get around the regulations by being classified as “toys”.

My mrs is a teacher in our local area and she has sent this, after reading if and being appalled, to the heads of all schools in our area! Spread the word! From a concerned spark!

Good news in Hull: I said that I would mention the dangers of the “childproof socket covers”to the directors of my work, as soon as she looked at the links, on the web, it was brought into the board meeting that afternoon. this was last week.
Now this Morning I have had an up date form Jane, who as a big influences in the nursery around Hull.
Apparently it as gone "viral" it as be taken to Hull city Council and Ofsted and god knows where else.
