Additional Outside light

Hi All,
Looking to install an additional outside light. Currently I have one standard outside light and a double gang switch in kitchen one switch for internal and one for external light.
But would like to add the light below with PIR and was wondering best way to do it.

Better to be sure and if your not call a pro but with the help of this site and the Pros on it I was sure i could cope with adding the light but it was reasuring to talk through it and hear your thoughts just to put my mind at ease.

just a thought but how are you going to address the building regs notification as you have added to a circuit in a notifiable area?

the problem is most people dont know its a notifiable area or what a notifiable area is, are they to blame or the lack of effort put into publising partp etc

Well i did mention it at post 15 when the op said he was going for the kitchen switch option, had he gone for the loft option then it would not have applied.

which just emphasises the shambles that is partp of the building regs.

can the circuit be tested can minor works be completed has bonding been checked is rcd protection required does earthing meet standards have safe zones been followed is correct circuit protction in place are cable sizes calculated accordingly - maybe, maybe not only an electrician can answer all that...

maybe someday when changing a lightbulb becomes illegal unless carried out by a fully qualified professional will people leave things alone, until then on and on it goes
