Hi,

I’ve been asked to look at a ADE optima compact plus as the zone 1 light is activating and it beeps everytime the PIR as activated I.e when someone walks Infront of it even when the system isn’t armed? You can press reset and the light goes off but as soon as it activates again it comes on.

Has anyone got experience with these panels and can indicate the fault, that alarm seems to be able to be set.

The engineers code is not known! I’ve also got a new battery to fit in it if I can get into it without the tamper setting the alarm off

This is the manual, seems to be different to more modern versions

zone 1 will be set to chime. you can turn this off by using customer code. see 1st page of operating instructions on your manual.

if i recall, you enter customer code, then the chime key. the zone/s that are in chime will light. toggle it on/off. as for the battery, take cover off then enter customer code to silence. get a meter on the battery terminals. should read 12.6V ish. if you pull the FCU fuse and do a bell test, this should indicate if the battery is good. if over 5 years change it anyway. after refitting cover, press reset.

HI, that’s exactly what it was, just nipped round when inspotted it in the manual, switched it off and it’s now fine!

Thanks all
