Advice on pictures in the links

Looking to buy a house and took some pictures of the electrics. They seem old so I am after some advice on if it needs a rewire. The last 2 pictures are of the additional installation of a downstairs shower room.

I might also be inclined to ditch the electric showers and have mixers installed.

I'd have one electric and one combi fed shower. Then if boiler fails you won't smell.

Consider running Ethernet cable from router to TVs, office, etc.

Definitely think about this.... Saves messing around later on then the kids want a console in their bedroom or other things...

Thanks for the replies. Trying to get an idea on what to get an electrician to do. Just enlisted the solicitor to do the searches etc so that will take a month or so, then will contact electricians to give me quotes.

I don't want simple white sockets/switches in view-able places, is there anywhere doing any deals on brushed chrome, can you recommend a brand?

Never understood the attraction of drawing attention to sockets by having them in shiny chrome to be honest. But plenty of peopl ehave them, so it's probably just me! A white socket on a pale colour wall tends to almost disappear, which I think is better.

You might get short shift on here on that. Most sparks would prefer to provide their own materials including faceplates, they do after all have to provide a warranty on their work, even if the device is supplied by others.

They are some good reputable brands, and you do get what you pay for.
