A job requires one double socket in a room which was previously a downstairs bathroom, the only access i can get to existing circuits is a ring which runs through the loft above this room. Can i break this ring, junction box it and spur off to the room which requires the socket. This is the only access i have due to customers needs and complications as this is no ordinary house

yes, the bathroom is being converted ito an office and obviously has no sockets hence why one is needed, its on a tt system so there is some rcd protection, just thought i would check that it's a valid solution, many thanks

If its being converted to be an office, would it make sense to suggest to the client that you add at least 2, 2 gang sockets?

You could do this by "breaking" the ring in the loft space and "diverting" it into the study via both of the new sockets and back to the loft.

i suggested that she might want more sockets but it is a small room and she said she don't want anymore as its only needed for her computer

computer, printer, scanner, lamp, etc. iv've a socket for my computer. into a 10way extn. all used. i don't know how a computer can take up so many ways.

Your iron lung, your plug in heart monitor, 5cu Ft fridge for beer, extractor fan for the smokes, radio for radio 2, gramophone player for your Burl Ives 78 records, soon takes up the ways Tel

With just the one double socket, I bet the next thing purchased would be a trailing extension lead with at least four outlets :D

you forgot the illicit still, and the heater for the brewing beer. the iron lung got repossessed, but they can't resell it as it's full of tar.
