Gasp!! please take this the right way, however if your having trouble second fixing a basic fire alarm you should not be doing the Job, Where are you in the country? Perhaps someone here can come and take a look for you at a cost covering them for a couple of hours or so.

First of all is the control panel Fike or Rafiki...? First cable from the panel goes in to the first detectors 4/7 the out from 3/8 to the next detector or call point, earths terminated in 1/2, continue the same until the last detector/call point and turn eol dip switch on the last detector/call point....not eol resistor needed.

Found your problem: Its a fike/rafiki.

Tazz got in quickly! ;-) Whats the make of the panel? If its not fike/rafiki then thats half of your problem...

I dabble a bit...lol

Just have this feeling that this guy is mixing Rafiki with other detection and fire panel...!
time will tell

Lol...

Seems he has all rafiki devices, so a panel change could do it as long as they have been wired correctly...

Lets wait and see!

well, when he refers to the 24V D.C. circuit as L,N, and E, think there's little hope.

Im supprised there hasnt been an article on the news " fire alarm causes fire ". or rafiki panels are going to unscrew themselves from the wall because of their 100db transformer buzz, nearly louder than the ****y multipoints ... and the callpoints that can be reset without a key, panel components that fail in 6 months...the simple fire system, that has a 50 page manual...oh god stop me...

Got a call out to a HMO with CB200 Rakiki....report was the panel was on fire...security alarm installers had left all paper work as they do, in the panel. and after being subjected to a drying out period...it started smoldering......how to install a fire alarm that caurses the fire in the first place....???

yes tazz..the fire panel its CB200 Rafiki..I understand connection on the detectors ..what about call point.do i follow colors for them..blue to blue, red to red ..

can you advice more for dip switch please..

many thanks tazz..

Had to read that a couple of times actually. Thought you must have meant the panel was in fire, not on fire... Thats unbeliveable
