Discuss Alarm bellbox in the Security Alarms, Door Entry and CCTV (Public) area at ElectriciansForums.net

have all sensors linked out and am only using one. if i wanted to see if it would work without the senor so it doesn't see open circuit, do i just keep the T-A link in?

personally,m i dont like the type of terminal as some times, with it being bent metal, when i have pulled cable out, it feels like it is going to pull the metal out, also, could you explain top me what you are showing in the photograph as i cant make much out

Have you got unused zones linked out. What does the keypad show? Tamper fault?

if so it might be the spring in the keypad, they are notoriously bad for not de-tampering when new and usually need a little 'stretch'. Just a thought.

i have unused zone linked out, have the bellbox unwired and am testing each zone and am adding it in one by one, one zone light stays light another sometimes flashes, is this with being the one that causes an alarm and another that just senses movement when the system is unset?

If you have reset back to factory settings what code are you entering.....if zones start flashing on entering a code, then it sounds like you are enter 9999, engineer code

Not sure if people will still bother to answer to this thread but here goes, when i wire the sensors up without the bellbox, i can get it into some sort if working order but as soon as i wire the bellbox up, it wont stop going off, the wiring is positive voltage to 'D' negative voltage to 'T' strobe negative to strobe negative and sounder tamper to 'B', any answers?cheers

The previous bell box worked fine. I think it was just lacking the added security of anti tamper. Can this one be wired the same?
