theyb are both qualified ie,C&G tech certs + NVQ3. If you are not an electrician if you cant test, then over half of electricians i have seen on big jobs would not be electricians.
On the one hand i want a highly skilled and competent workforce, but on the other selfish side, it makes people like myself look better because we have skills that are in more demand becauseof the lack of skill by others.
Unfortunately people learn to pass exams, and not to further their knowledge in the trade. Most people are happy as long as they pass.
In your own words people learn to pass exams 2391 included.
The OP's question was am I qualified and the answer is yes,
Others piped up saying you need the redundant 2391 to run own business which is rubbish.
I thought from next year to join self certification scheme (part-p) nvq level 3 was required. Of which the OP has. Again no requirement for 2394/2395 or the OLD 2391
If you read C&G website site they word the 2391/2394/2395 as refreshers for the qualified, not a requirement if you want to test. They word it as helps you understand . They word 2394/2395 as shows your up to date of which the 2391 is not.
What next 2396 needed to select which cable to install
What some companies make up as in house rules is not law or requirement for the rest of us in the real world
I agree it is a good qualification to have, but is only a 4/5 day course most academically minded could pass anyway
