Hi,

I sit my AM2 next week and have a couple of questions which I can't seem to find or get a definitive answer online or from anyone at work. Hoping someone on here can help.

First is when filling out the testing certificate, how do i work out maximum demand for the install?

And also when doing my R1 + R2 for the two way and intermediate lighting circuit, how do i get a reading from the intermediate switch? Go on each strapper to earth and cycle switches?

cheers in advance

To work out the max demand use the diversity calculation method. You should get a result way below 100 if you do, probably around 30-40. When doing the R1 and R2 because of the way you have to wire the lights its straightforward as the neutral is totally seperate and you only switch between the two line (inc the switched) cables if you wire it following their instructions

You dont need a measurement at the switch itself, you take the reading from the light position; cycle the switches until you get the highest reading.
