Hi everyone,
Had my NVQ portfolio for a while now, because the company I work for is only house bashing there's no way I can finish it all, college said they will try and sort something out but because there's only 3 of us I can't get other things like risk assessments etc.
If anyone has got a portfolio saved on a memory stick or anything would REALLY appreciate it if I could steel a few pictures from it.

Thanks Joe

Where are you based? Would it not be better to ask to get out and do some commercial / industrial on the weekends FOC with one of that's lads off here? I work most weekends (sat) as I'm sure loads of guys do... Offer your self for free and you never know.

Agree. It's much better to get out with someone else for a few days then at least you can relate to the pictures and other documentation used for your NVQ.

You should have been put on the correct pathway, and given the correct units for the type of work you do. There are plenty of EAL NVQ units to cover domestic type work.

To be fair i know a lad that was struggling, he asked his assessor and his assessor gave him some of his own gubby job's to do for it. Ask him, he'll definitley help you out anyway he can - that's part of his job. He wants you to pass after all not struggle around looking for jobs and dragging the whole NVQ out - ure a number to him, he wants you off his books asap.

Agree with the other posts on here, you need to be able to relate to the evidence you are submitting and describe in your own words how you met the performance objectives etc.

Another thing to consider is the "paper trail", if you were to complete a job for example and someone got injured as a result of your workmanship, the paper trail would lead back to the training provider who assessed you and deemed you competent. If you are trying to get deemed competent fraudlently this opens up a whole can of worms, not only for you but for the person providing the "evidence" to assist you in this fraud as well as the training provider not to mention anyone who got injured. Best advice would be to get authetntic and reliable evidence by carrying out the work yourself and possibly volunteering your services as others have suggested.

Good luck with the NVQ
