I've recently aquired some old BT trimphones. I don't expect the younger members will know what they are. Anyway, the old dial types work fine. I've also got a couple of push button ones. Everything seems okay with them apart from the ringer (warbler?) doesn't work on either of them. I've checked the cable connections and the dial and push button are both wired the same. Any thoughts?
I have got another complete with party line switch. That takes me back....

The main thing I remember about them is '3 is the ringer' .

Just seems strange that the dial type work but the push button type don't. The ringer board looks the same.
It does seem weird listening to the pulses when you dial on the push button ones.

I also have an old set of phones and they came in handy when hunting a wire

Has turned into another retro vintage “do you remember” thread.... you’ll have someone spouting catchphrases in a minute....

swapshop, tiswas, crackerjack (crackerjack!) the wide awake club with michaela strachan

what was that one with the old fella in a tracksuit, big chair.... cigar....
Now then, now then.... I can’t recall???
