Anyone any good with old phones??

I've recently aquired some old BT trimphones. I don't expect the younger members will know what they are. Anyway, the old dial types work fine. I've also got a couple of push button ones. Everything seems okay with them apart from the ringer (warbler?) doesn't work on either of them. I've checked the cable connections and the dial and push button are both wired the same. Any thoughts?
I have got another complete with party line switch. That takes me back....

If you can't get the trimphone to warble try a Minor or Black bird both used to do good imitations.

If anyone wants any info on UK phones (including how to wire them) then try the following LINK. I found it very useful. BTW, the phone is now ringing OK. It does need the 3.3k resistor added. Luckily I found an original out of another scrap phone.

Nice one. I used to like tapping out numbers in pulse-dialling form with the hook switch. Not many exchanges support the old form now though.
