anybody ever fitted one of these, or got one in your home?

apparently they are supposed to be very energy efficient, uses 10W per day on standby.
a bit pricey at ÂŁ650 though!

Quooker

i might be persuaded to get one if they are ÂŁ450 and energy efficient, where is that price from? must be a trade price

Will try and find out for you, got to pop in and see kitchen matey this week... but like you say think that is very near to the trade price and the kitchen chap only sticks a little % on top when customers are spalshing out 1000's on a kitchen

Only problem I got with these in a domestic situation is a toddler mistaking it for a normal tap, espicially if it's a toddler visiting the house. Not seen a domestic model so they may have safe guards on them.

The quooker ones I've done have all been in a domestic situation and yep they come with a safety feature.... took me a while to turn it on first time I had a go... so no worries there

:D could be right there mr leaf, i remember the big fast food place being told to stop making coffees so hot a couple of years ago ?? what "ohh i bought a hot coffee and i was a bit daft and burned myself with it i did not realise it was so hot"?? ask for a cold one then.

If memory serves me right that was a when a woman (say no more) asked for a coffee in McDonalds and ended up burning herself with it, it ended up with those stupid lids on with a pin hole in them to drink your coffee as she sued them for 1-burning herself with the coffee and 2-dereliction in their duty of care to their customers
