Hi All,

I was stripping wallpaper today in my hallway.. When i came across this.. Some kind of Square box?

[ElectriciansForums.net] Anyone Know What This Is?


When i touched it it gave me a shock.. If i turn the breakers off for the doorstairs lights then its no longer live? ANyone know what it can be?? Or anymore info?

redundat cable not used and "stuffed" as usual in wall! chip plaster away and get it terminated properly!

if in any doubt give a local spark a ring! quick fix job rather been safe than sorry for future times! no more than £35 to fix!

When i put my voltage tester on about on the wall below it.. about 30cm x 60cm is live?
