The course is really intense!!! You get almost 4 and a half hours testing on Domestic,Comercial and industrial!! remembering of course when you disconnect your main earth for a Ze test that all exposed conductive parts must be covered by 1000v rated plastic sheeting this includes water or gas pipes!!!! or health and safety will shut you down!!!!according to my examener!!! a can see there point but it just doesnt work some times!!!!! then a had 20 ???? on caravans and 15 on special locations ??15 on general regs ???15 on e.a.w.r and 15 on health and safety!! and 15 on general ohms law stuff!!why is OUR TEST NOT THE SAME????? DOES THE GOV NOT GET THE POINT WE ARE CALLED UNIED KINGDOM!!!

Have you seen this written down somewhere? Would be good for reference.

I have been asked by my students about this a couple of times and have come up with this exact scenario as possible excuse...

would be great if I could get some solid background to refer too..

First and foremost , well done you!! Plastic sheeting??!! Wouldn't it be easier to isolate the area? I've never heard this but probably one of the new rules! I'd have to take the matress protector off the bed!!

Well done m8

Goin up for that later this year. Any hints or tips for me would be appreciated!

Hi

Yeah the plastic sheeting when you do your ze test!! never heard of it before but its an instant fail if you forget!! you have all the books available for your written tests but get clued up on the brb if you have done your 17th recentley you will know that page 3:eek: is the way to really find anything!!! safe isolation as always keep the keys in your pocket another guy failed as he put it on the trolley that holds all the test equipment!!! If you are good at testing then should be cool pal remember tho that the inspection part is really important 2!!!

Good luck and just keep ypour cool!! although its really nippy with a assessor over the back o you for 4 hours watching your every move!!!

Never seen it written down mate and a think you dont have to do this in the 2391!! got tipped of about it before my exam tho. now its a sub d/b so if you disconnect the earth then the metal trunking and all other equip could become live! a do see there point but just never heard or seen it carried out before!!!
