personally... it looks cheap if you just stick it to the wall.
pro LED tape is usually run inside an aluminium moulding, with a plastic opaque cover that stops you seeing each and every dot of light. Or otherwise shade the tape behind something so it lights up the wall or whatever, rather than the open room.
The adhesive can also pull paint off the wall. Ive seen plenty kids bedrooms with badly stuck on tape, and every parent regrets it
Reliability is an issue with cheaper LED tape... and they're not easy to repair if theres a single LED outage.
These cheaper tapes are usually 3 channel.... meaning ALL red lights come on together.... All blue lights together and all green lights together... and a commbination of these colour gives all other colours.... but the entire tape is all the same colour at one moment.
The images give the impression that the tape can be different colours along the length.
If thats what you want, search for "addressable" LED tape....
I'm not completely against LED tape, but just to make you aware of the pitfalls.
