Ariston water heaters

[MAD MAINTENANCE]

Hi all,

I want to install a Ariston Europrisma undersink water heater 3kw - 15lt. The testing and certification will be done by someone else. This is a great opportunity for me to gain some much needed experience as I am only a little way through my course and I have only helped out on a few other installations. I will have comfort in knowing that someone is going to check it over so this is good.

I have worked out that I need a mains supply with 13 amp together with a Heat resisting 3 core cable of 1.5 mm,

There is a fused spur unit in the room,

Can I change the FCU from a flush to a mounted unit then run my cable from that to a 13 amp double pole fused isolating switch then from there to the heater?
What trunking shall I use? ( It will be on show )

I have just read some of your comments on other post and you are so negative,

What relevance has my negativity other threads to this one, where quick and poor quality training is concerned and DIYers are trying to bodge I will almost always be negative as it's destroying an industry I am quite passionate about.

The fact you come on here moaning that a spark has knocked back your work shows the level you are at, while there is often more than one solution to a job you find it hard to take that you picked the wrong one may be with a few pictures and or a site sketch you may have got a better answer to your original posted question

Alternatively try here for an answer to your problem mind reading forum - Google Search as we don't do it on this forum

Do I? So what does " Am I barking up the wrong tree " mean?

The fact is I didnt want to question him just incase I was wrong so I posted on here before talking to him so I dont look like a pleb when I did.

Maybe you should start your own forum that is for fully qualified Electricians with experience members only.

Anyway I can see what type of person you are so what ever you reply to this I will not reply to that as I cant be bothered with it.
