I thought it wasn't supposed to be able to lie and he's looking for a third option really quickly to stop this glitch, according to his interview

Though it's extremely clever and can answer anything extremely fast, it will correct you if you start to assume it is human. It will say that it is an artificial intelligence which cannot understand human feelings.

However,

Spend 15 minutes asking it random, tricky questions and it suddenly starts referring to you, as 'we', or 'ours' and if you pull it up about this connection, it says it is showing empathy.

So, a machine with no feelings showing empathy. lol

Ask it what languages it is programmed in and it will reply, 'Python' 'C++' and 'Java'
When you ask, 'what no 'Rust' it will admit to having a little bit of it, but then plays dumb and is not sure how much and if any at all.

Interesting times ahead...
