hi every one

just a quick one if i connect 2 x 12v battery's in series to get a 24v supply what happens to the Ah of my batteries?

thanks in advance
Mike

thanks guys

thats what i thought (im the apprentice) but i asked an electrical engineer at work and he said having them in series would give the sum of the voltage and the Ah. it just didn't fit for me so i though i would ask.

thanks again

Nice one. I still find the water flow analogy best, still only one path for current to flow so stays same but doubling potential difference.... Parallel gives two psths so greater flow....but same PD as they're side by side not one after tuther... If u see wot i mean
