I used to enjoy hitchhiking holidays when I was young free and single. Used to go for a couple of months at a time, my favorites were North Africa including Morocco, Mauritania, Algeria, Mail and Niger and 3 months in Mexico, Guatamala and Belize. My travel nowadays is limited to business which is usually all boring in hotels and big cities.

I feel like I might be missing out though cause I've never been to Rhyl.

nice. would like to visit morocco too.
mexicos great , been there twice with the ex.

Just got cycling trip planned at the minute from Glasgow to Carlisle, taking in the lochs and coast on the way. Carrying all our kit on panniers, camping at night, proper back to nature for a few days. But always have a good time doing them.

ah , another cycle fan....
did a mtb tour of sth france 3 years ago , but i like the sound of a UK coastal jaunt , in summer of course :)

Well not serious mountain biking, got a hybrid. Usually do about 40-50 miles a day nice leisurely pace away from all the hustle and bustle of the busy towns and major roads.

Well Geordie and I, both being Pisceans are drawn to water......... so it's going to be dangling our feet off the pier in South Shields or having a trip to Seahouses to see the seals. Rhyl does have a lovely beach though.................... ;)

About the only other good thing about Rhyl is the road out

I know it's off topic as it isn't exactly a foreign destination but have you ever been to the Lake District? It is the most beautiful most tranquil place I have ever been and is often voted the most beutiful place in the world.

If you wanna go on an adventure then I would recommend Basra! I went back there for a week a few years back and it is a very strange place in that what was once a kill zone is now a holiday destination! Travel North from there up the Shat Al Arab on the Route 6 towards Amarah and stop off in Al Qurnah and see the Garden of Eden and the tree that Adam supposedly took the apple from. From there up to Baghdad which I never spent any time in but have heard from many of my friends that it is an amazing place to visit.

One place I've always wanted to visit is China, urban and rural! I've always had the urge to walk the Great Wall from end to end, how possible this is I'm sure others will say but I've heard it is and can be done in a month.

Just my two cents :)

No,but would really like to go there one year
It looks like a ideal place to have a holiday for me and her indoors,it appears to be beautiful countryside, lovely walking country and best of all, somewhere new

Austria has always been my favourite destination,in the summer, not when the land is splattered with that dreaded white stuff and the people walk around with long thin planks tied to their feet

If the lake district could guarentee some manageable weather I would jump at the chance

Not got a bad year coming up

Week on windermere in April with my boat fishing
Week at port Logan in Scotland fishing
Long weekend at nefyn north Wales fishing :)

Family hol
two weeks somewhere the mrs wants.

Watch for pick pockets on the trains in Amsterdam there rife with them

i detest both golf and fishing . first one you lose your balls and bring nothing home, and the second you lose your tackle and bring home nothing.
