The CU is neat, although I still don't like the pre wired links (not your fault)

The cable tray looks a mess to me, if you've made the effort of fitting tray work to a domestic install I'd have spent a bit more time dressing them in neatly.

Meh sod em, the cables run through it anyway so derating factors should have been allowed for beforehand. How often do they give a ---- about us?

I agree totally and hand on heart I like what he has done but I would never do that in a domestic property just for some loft insulator to roll insulation over it and never be seen ever again . And I can guarantee if anyone works on it in the future and adds cables they won't be crawling Into the eaves to tie wrap to it .

I think it looks good, it really depends where in the house the board is.

The last bungalow I did, the loft was full to the brim with insulation and junk and the board was in the middle of the house.

It was difficult, the only option was for it to branch out all over the place and clipped to the sides of the joists, it was always going to be a slight mess.

I like yours though.

nice board as i find they are not the easiest to get neat due to the internal tails.
good idea for the tray but a bigger size would have made dressing neater
i can see this happening more because of the insulation getting put in roof spaces these days
the bungalow I've started this week is full of that blown fibre with old carpets on the top!
I'm toying with the idea of cable basket rather than tray as i find it better for T&E imo
