But no politician should have 2 jobs on the radio if he gets in and I agree trev let's hope he gets a sound thrashing to ukip ( just had to squeeze that in trev )
On the radio today if he became an mp and keeps his mayor of London job then he'll be on about £350000 a year .that's shocking

Image aside, he seems to have made some popular changes as mayor, such as the introduction of bespoke new buses and a cycle hire scheme.

Whether you like it or not, image is an important factor in politics - it's just another popularity contest.
Some people like to vote for someone who comes across as knowing what they're doing, some like to vote for someone with a set of policies which they like, and others vote for someone they think they can relate to, and Boris seems to cover these aspects better than other candidates.

Adam I dont really do politics, but when ever Boris Johnson is on the news, I cringe knowing that the world is watching and we some how picked him to run our capital city.

Personal opinion, the man is a fool, ditherer, silver spooned and does not live in reality. Not the best man to represent London/England imho. Is he the best this country has to offer? I would rather see one of the Dragon's Den in charge, at least they know how much a loaf of bread costs!
